The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Questers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
