Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
